What led you to Fit36®?Steve comes from a fitness background, having played professional soccer for eight years. After leaving professional sports, Steve was looking for a way to stay fit and steve cronin active at the level he was used to. He tried many different workouts for the three years following his MLS (Major League Soccer) career, including other High-intensity Interval Training workouts to find something that would stick with him.

He found the FIT36® studio in downtown Denver near his work and instantly fell in love with the workout. He quit his membership at a competing gym, and never looked back. Steve was excited about the quick format of the class and loved that there weren’t any treadmills or heavy cardio equipment. He was quickly blown away with what he accomplished, calorie and fitness wise in such a short amount of time.

What was compelling about the FIT36® model?
Steve found that the startup and operating costs were dramatically less than the leading competitor. Steve looked at the forecast and initial cash outlay, and it was a no-brainer. It all came down to a cost analysis of people, product, and price; it just made sense.

Why Franchising?
He wanted to be a part of something bigger. There are so many small, single-location fitness facilities, and he knows that they can’t create brand awareness the same way that a franchise organization can. The plan that FIT36®Management Team has for Denver and the company growth, is exciting, and he is proud to be one of the first.

What was the process like and what does daily life look like now?
Steve owns an insurance agency and maintains fulltime involvement in that business.  During the FIT36® Studio construction process, he spent a lot of time in the studio, primarily because it was FUN and he loved being a part of the buildout. It was exciting for him to see pre-opening memberships come through, and he just couldn’t get enough.  As the studio opened and final punch-list items and team member systems were in place, Steve was able to step out of the day-to-day and let the manager take over.  He currently spends about a maximum of 5 hours per week on the studio, but of course; he works out there every day!

What has been the most rewarding?
As soon as the doors opened, he saw it catch like wildfire and was overwhelmed by the studio’s approval rating. The feedback from clients and watching bodies transform before him has been the most rewarding. Already, Steve has seen several members lose 10+ pounds in less than one month.* He has also found great reward in seeing his employees educate members on the FIT36®system, how it works, and how it is different from other workouts. Through the trainers educating the members, they know that they shouldn’t focus on the scale, but how they feel and the changes in their body due to increased strength and tone.  Steve has his pulse on new real estate and is excited about his second FIT36® Studio location.
